Gaby
We all come with different Musical tastes and backgrounds. One Foot in the Groove are a bunch of musos all doing our own thing but with a shared passion and love of live music and wanted to get out and play to live audiences. Gaby loves jazz (that could be her other band name) and drops the occasional extra lick into a solo just to stay fresh and improvised.
Dave
In the days of three terrestrial TV channels, Dave was watching “Parkinson” on a Saturday night. Buddy Rich was on. He played Love For Sale. Dave was electrified. He did the obvious thing and joined a punk band!! More recently he has played as dep, in scratch bands and in longer running projects. He’s played covers, originals, rock, jazz, blues & funk. He has played for love and played for money and is now looking forward to playing for Free (we’ll see if he notices that one).
Andrew
Andrew “The Rock” was one of the original line-up way back when One Foot in the Grove was a 10 piece Soul Band. He can be counted on to deliver that solo that us mere mortals can only play on our air guitars.
Mart
Mart had a baptism of fire when he played his first gig with One Foot in the Groove at a wedding in France. He got over his trauma of sharing small spaces with us strange folk and happily stayed. He is a master of Bass and brings that thumping rhythm that tickles your ribcage.
Jaqs
There is something for everyone in this colourful band! We all live and breath all types of music and love to let ourselves go to the magical experience that you are guaranteed to get with One Foot in the Groove! Jaqs has been known to shatter glass with her super high notes and knows how to connect with audiences large and small.
John
We don’t just play the music, we feel it and become part of your special occasion. John sounds like he’s had a hard life – but in a good, Rod Stewart, kind of way. He can connect with audiences in a way that makes them party hard.
Jonny Fingers
Every member of One Foot in the Groove are masters of their craft and bring their own style into the mix. You will probably know the songs we play but we do them on our own Groove. Johnny AKA Fingers has a classical style which you’ll hear on occasion – even if it is a Ska tune.
